Dave Kendall founded the Kendall Academy of Golf at Miles of Golf, in 1997. This is the 21st year under Dave’s guidance, growing from one Instructor to 9 outstanding Coaches and home to hundreds of success stories. The Kendall Academy Team of Coaches, works to develop the golf games of players of all levels, from Beginner to Elite Amateur and Professionals. Dave is also one of the founding members of the Golf Channel Academy network of Lead Coaches and first in Michigan.
The Michigan PGA has previously honored Dave as the Teacher of the Year, Golf Professional of the Year, recipient of the Horton Smith Award, and Senior Player of the Year Award. He has served the Michigan PGA as a Board Member, Officer, and President. As a player, Dave is a 2-time Michigan Senior Open Champion, Senior PGA Champion, and Senior PGA Match Play Champion. He has been inducted into the Jackson, Michigan, the Michigan PGA, and the Michigan Golf Halls of Fame. Dave has been listed on Golf Digest’s list of Top Teachers in Michigan since 2000.
Dave is one of the first 20 graduates of Ferris State University’s Professional Golf Management Program and one of the first to become a PGA Member Head Professional, when he became the PGA Professional at Cadillac Country Club in 1981. Dave has been honored by Ferris State’s PGM Alumni Association as recipient of its Norm Bennett, Bill Strausbaugh, and Don Perne Awards. In 2017, the FSU Alumni Association awarded Dave it’s Distinguished Alumni Award.
Dave’s greatest sources of pride are the accomplishments of his students and fellow Coaches. The insight he has gained through his years of Coaching players of all levels, along with his competitive background, has given him a very practical approach to player improvement.
DAVE KENDALL OFFERINGS
PRIVATE LESSON, FOUNDER INSTRUCTOR: Individual Private Lessons (50 minutes) would normally involve a video analysis of the students swing or analysis of the area of concern. This would identify where the student is now, determining where the best opportunities for improvement are, and specifics as to how to apply the new concepts.
Cost: $135 Adults / $120 Juniors
LESSON SERIES: Lesson series are packaged in groups of 5 or 10. Each lesson in a package is most often used for a private lesson, however, individual pre-paid lessons may also be used for a Specialty School, or a 9 Hole Session. Consult with Dave as to how to get the most out of your Lesson Series.

SPECIALTY SCHOOL:Full swing, short game and putting schools will each be a specialty school topic. Each topic will be broken down into its most basic parts. The skills and fundamentals necessary to excel will be identified and developed for each individual. The Session length will be 2 Hours for 1 person, 3 Hours for 2 or 3.
Cost: Private Session, $175/person, 2 Hour Session
Bring a Friend, $150/person, 3 Hour Session
Bring 2 Friends, $100/person, 3 Hour Session
DAY SCHOOL: Full swing and short game basics will be assessed and discussed for each student. How each student should manage and practice each area to best develop their skill will be the goal. Following a 3 hour session we will play 9 holes of golf to have a chance to apply these skills to play on the course. The class size will not exceed 3 students. Course fees are included in the cost. 9 HOLE ON-COURSE SESSION: Designed to assess a players ability to apply the skills of the game to their play on the course. This Session, is conducted in a Playing environment and become can become the basis of a lesson plan for each individual. Course fees are included.
